Bouygues Telecom announced today that it will withdraw 3,000 Huawei mobile phone antennas by 2028 in densely populated areas, at the request of the French government, for security reasons for the upcoming 5G network.
“We will no longer have any Huawei antennas in very populated areas until 2028,” explained Olivier Roussat, president of Bouygues Telecom.
“This move means dismantling 3,000 antennas,” he explained.
The company “Bouygues Telekom” has a total of about 21,500 branches in the country today, according to group figures.
