The Wall Street Journal reported information that further clouded the future of TikTok.
According to the analysis of the WSJ (Wall Street Journal), several versions of TikTok from 2018 to 2020 had accumulated unusual amounts of information.
Further, the WSJ says that until last year TikTok had used a known security issue on Android to bypass operating system protections that prevented users from being tracked through MAC addresses.
Whereas, the MAC code identifies a device on the network and is usually unchanged and can be traced even if users use different accounts on the same device by creating a person ID.
