According to Hootsuite, the best time to post on weekdays on Facebook is between 12-3pm. SproutSocial says you should post between 9-3pm on most days. But CoSchedule, after evaluating 20 study suggestions, said 1-3pm is the best time for Thursday through Sunday.

To find out what works and what doesn’t on Facebook, go to the Insight option at the top. Find “Posts” and here you are! A personalized diagram of the days and times when your audience is most active on Facebook. Post new content 10 or 15 minutes before the recommended time.

Twitter

Coschedule and Hubspot rank Wednesday as the best day to engage on Twitter. But SproutSocial prefers Thursday.

To find out the best time to post on Twitter, go to Twitter Analytics and click on “Tweets”. The lines in the “impressions” will quickly show you everything you need for the posting time for your audience.

You can also sign up for Klout (for free). It will start gathering information about your audience and suggesting the best times for publication based on your followers.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is very professional-oriented, so it is no surprise that the best time for exposure is during business hours. All working days produce good engagement results between 8-5 afternoons. However, the best days are from Tuesday to Thursday. (We are too busy on Monday and too relaxed to worry on Friday).

Pinterest

Obviously, Google Plus people like to check out this platform as soon as they wake up in the morning because the best time to post on this platform is at 9am, especially on Wednesdays. The worst times are early mornings and evenings.

Instagram

Here, all scholars agree that the best times to post are during workdays, but differ on the best day. They also agree that early mornings and time after business hours are best. It is okay to post all day, but beware of the quiet around 3pm.

If you have a business account on Instagram, log in to Analytics and easily understand the best days and times to post for your audience. However, if you do not have a business account, try some free tools, such as SimplyMeasured and Union Metrics, which are the best.

If your audience is scattered across different time zones, do not hesitate to repost your best content occasionally. Chances are not everyone has seen it the first time, so adjust based on that.

It is good to have knowledge about statistics and general metrics. However, you have many tools through which you can know the specific things that work for your business. Do not rely on third party research, know the strengths and weaknesses of your strategy.
